WHY IS THE STATUS OF AN RHI INSPECTOR SO IMPORTANT?
RHI members have demonstrated their proficiency by performing no fewer than 250 fee-paid inspections in accordance with the CAHPI Standard of Practice; they have also passed a series of written examinations testing their knowledge of residential construction, inspection techniques, report writing, and the Standard of Practice and Code of Ethics. Members carry mandatory Errors and Omissions insurance. Retaining membership requires each Member to earn 40 continuing education credits every two years. A fully accredited CAHPI Member has achieved the status of Registered Home Inspector.
